Large grant awarded to Winthrop Gardens

Amazing news was received in December 2023 when the Parish Council heard they had been awarded a grant slightly in excess of £250,000 to redevelop the cafe and associated buildings at the very popular l Winthrop Gardens.

The current cafe is a portacabin, considerably past its use by date and this will be the focus of the new develoment.

Cllr Barber Chair of Wickersley parish Council "said that this is an exciting time for Winthrop Gardens as will alllow a much loved local facility to better serve the community going forward"
